As a seminary student, I found Swetland's book invaluable for helping consider the potential issues I will be facing when I go into ministry. The variety and range of stories keep the reading from being redundant. Indeed, some of the stories are so striking, they really causes one to sit back and think hard about the serious and difficult task of American pastors.
