An Embrace for Any Reader

I read the first story and it spoke to me about my special son. I read the next story and it spoke to me about my eldest who went away to college. As tears came, I paused and thought, "Will there be a story about my daughter?" So I closed the book, then I just had to open it and read another story. Wow. This book echoes the Heavenly Daddy's embrace to my family. I know it conveys heart hugging truths for anyone. I encourage you to get this book and share the hug.

What You've Always Wanted

Grab a box of Kleenex, maybe two. You'll need them when you read "The Embrace of a Father" by Wayne Holmes, just released by Bethany House. You'll read about the man who gave away a fortune and became the richest man in town. You'll understand why one father couldn't count all his blessings. You'll see two daughters, one who doubted and another who trusted Daddy's words. You'll meet a father willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice and another who would have done anything to find his lost baby girl. You'll feel what we want--what we can never get enough of--"The Embrace of a Father". Inside the beautiful cover are fifty-three stories that will help you get to know the father who loves you more than anyone else. You'll feel his tender love and be amazed by his grace. It's hard to imagine that by the end of the book you'll have any doubts or fears. But if you do, grab another box of Kleenex and read it again. "The Embrace of a Father" will make a wonderful gift for Father's Day, but why wait? Buy a copy and share it with friends so they can experience God's healing touch.

Finding a Connection

The Heart of a Father, compiled by Wayne Holmes, is a book that can be quickly read and enjoyed, then set aside for a while and re-read and enjoyed all over again. With each reading, the reader will discover new insights, new ways to connect with God. The stories are told in short bitesize morsels that can be consumed by the eager reader in less time than it would take to inhale a candy bar. And though some of the stories are sprinkled with sugar that's where the similarities between this book and a candy bar and its quickly disappearing sugar-high end. The stories are filled with God's wisdom and tend to remain with the reader throughout the day, helping the reader to discover similarities between the way they teach their own children and the way God teaches us. Mr. Holmes has done a thorough job of making sure the reader puts on a thinking cap, and in doing so has managed to bring God and His ways more fully into their lives.

Discover the Heart of the Heavenly Father

"The Heart of a Father is a unique collection of heartwarming stories that inspire and encourage readers to draw closer to the heart of God. Written by many favorite authors and other gifted writers, these stories demonstrate the nature of God through earthly fathers who emulate the character of our Heavenly Father and enable us to know the depths of His love. Certain to bring a smile and an occasional tear, Holmes' book is a celebration of fatherhood to be enjoyed by sons and daughters of all ages."

Heart Stories for the Heart

Warm. Sensitive. Those two words best describe The Heart of the Father, compiled by Wayne Holmes. The stories range from two to five pages and try to hit every aspect of a daddy's heart. You'll read powerful accounts by celebrities such as Leighton Ford who lost his son or Wayne Holmes's own story of a hiking experience with his father. The poignancy of stories by non-famous people such as Linda Knight stand alongside those of Walter Wangerin, Jr. and Max Lucado. We see many compilation books today, but few of them touch the emotions like those in this book. The Heart of a Father is not only the title, but heart is the powerful theme that resonates throughout the book.
