A Good Start to a Great Series

I've been reading through this series and have really enjoyed it. The first book is a little less enjoyable for me because it takes too long for the hero and heroine to meet for the first time and start to fall in love. But I'd still definitely recommend it and the subsequent volumes. I particularly like the warm depiction of the main family. I wish they made more historical fiction series like this.

I've read the series and if you liked the white indian series, you'll love the hawk and the dove series.
