Immortals fan

I enjoyed this book as well as all the others it was interesting to see Mai finally finding someone

The Haunting

The Immortal series is a good read, each builds on the former but can be read independently. This is an excellent series.

The Haunting

The biggest thing I liked about this book was that Mai didn't come out unaffected by the events of The Gathering. She has her own demons to deal with. I like that. I thought it was a very good addition to the original series, and I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the second cycle and the anthology coming out.

Great Series

This book continues the series as if one author was doing it all. It continues to amaze me that these 3 women have written so well together. Great bedroom scenes and an intriguing plot with plenty of twists at the end. If you enjoy paranormals of every description with a love story to add spice, you will enjoy this whole series.

Terrific Story! Romance, Suspence, and even a touch of Horror. Perfect for Halloween Romance.

The Immortals Series: The Calling (Jennifer Ashley) The Darkening (Robin T. Popp) The Awakening (Joy Nash) The Gathering (Jennifer Ashley) The Redeeming (Jennifer Ashley) The Crossing (Joy Nash) The Haunting (Robin T. Popp) The Reckoning (All three authors) "The Haunting" is the perfect name for this edition of The Immortals series. It's spooky and thrillingly frightening at times, making it an excellent release for Halloween. Still, the romance takes the major role in the story. Terrific characters and a fast pace kept me reading. At just under 300 pages, this book packed tons of story. Since helping to kill Kehksut, Mai (a wood nymph) has been suffering from frightening hallucinations brought on by PTSD. Worse, her powers have all but disappeared. Living with her nightmares has caused her to lose her job as a reporter. Finally, after months of therapy, Mai is determined to get her life back. She has information that can prove to be the news story of the year. A local politician has been involved in a spree of crimes including murder. Before Mai can write the article, a man breaks into her apartment and beats her nearly to death... Or so she believes until minutes later she realizes that both she and her apartment are in perfect condition. Could it be that the hallucinations are back worse than ever? Or was the man truly there? The only thing missing from her apartment is the information she had for her article. Afraid for her life and sanity, Mai quickly moves to a new apartment building. Nick is both a chameleon and a "Spirit Walker". As a chameleon, he can take the shape of just about any living thing. As a Spirit Walker, he can enter peoples dreams. He can also hunt for missing persons by following the path of their spirit. When a friend of Mai's disappears from her new apartment, Nick is called in to search for her. Mai has no idea that the Spirit Walker is also the very man who has been loving her in her dreams. Even Nick is not aware that Mai is the dream lover he has shared the past few nights with. Feeling certain that the woman in the dream world is his one true spirit mate, Nick tries to resist the temptation of Mai. He is drawn to Mai, but does not want to be untrue to the lover he has come to cherish in the dream world. Messages scrawled in the steam on her bathroom mirror, faces staring out at her from the living room mirror, voices calling her name, violent physical attacks that are instantly healed, horrifying creatures that appear in her hallway only to disappear just as suddenly... Horrifying hallucinations? Or is it all real? Mai fears no one will believe her. Who can she trust with her secrets? Anything that threatens Mai will have to face Nick's rage. No sacrifice is too great to keep her safe.
