Great consolidation of essentail sailing reading

Anyone interested in modern sea tales will enjoy reading these. I actually had a version of one of these (Two Against the Horn) but decided to buy it anyway so I can re-read it in perspective with the other stories. Great buy.

Inspiring!

Never will a book import the reader into the stories as Hal Roth's "Seafaring Trilogy". This read has been nothing short of mesmerizing with astute tesimonials of culture, travel, geology, biology, history and of course, sailing. Any sailor will enjoy this book and the purest sailor will surely love it's teachings. Cheers to Hal Roth for this beautiful account.

Captivating Books

Hal Roth is by far one of the best storywriters I have had the pleasure of reading. He keeps his audience captivated by discriptions and background information from each place he visits. This trilogy comes highly recommended from my point of view.

Another good one

Another great Hal Roth book. It contains 3 of his books "Two on a Big Ocean," "Two Against Cape Horn" and "The Longest Race." I really liked the first two books, but wasn't so much into the "the Longest Race" as I have read about it before. Donald Crowhurst is just not my cup of tea :-( Anyway, this is a great book and the shipwreck part of "Two Against Cape Horn" is quite engaging -- his descriptions of the people of Chile are also great to read. I wonder how much it has changed there since he wrote the book? Anyway, if you like sailing, if you like these kinds of accounts, buy this book!
