Book Overview

The kids from The Egypt Game are back, and they're ready to play a new game -- Gypsies. While April plunges in with her usual enthusiasm, the more Melanie learns, the more something seems to be holding her back. But it's Toby who adds a new wrinkle when he announces that he himself is a bona fide Gypsy. Plus he can get them some of his grandmother's things to use as real Gypsy props for the new game. What could be more thrilling? Then Toby suddenly...

two thumbs way up

One of the best plots i have ever read Snyder clearly has some talent

This is such a great book! Why don't people like it?????????

This is such a great book!!!!! I really liked The Egypt Game so I read this book as soon as my school library got it in when I was in 6th grade. This book was even better then The Egypt Game! It was so exciting! The book is a lot about Toby, who IS a really cool character. The characters don't play The Gypsy Game really, but what is going on is probably much more interesting. This book starts exactly after where the Egypt Game ends. I could not put down this book. It is suspenseful and awesome! Plus, if everyone just pretended to be gypsies the book would be like the Egypt Game, just with gypsies instead of egyptians. The Toby plot makes this book a different book from the Egypt Game. If you want to read a book like the Egypt Game, just READ THE EGYPT GAME AGAIN! If you want to read a great and unique book, read The Gypsy Game! It's really awesome!

GOOOOOD BOOK!!!

I loved this book. My mom read it to me. This book has the same people in it as The Egypt Game. Both books were mysteries. Well I think you should read this book.

It IS good.

From the point of a 12 year old this book was 1 point under the great book "The Egypt Game." It had the same great characters just a different plot from the previous story. They couldn't start playing because of a bunch of unexpected events. It was still really good and intriguing and I recommend this book to anyone who has read "The EgyptGame."

Once you are done you'll be screaming for more!

Reviewed by: Jonathan Praino and Scott Rudolph Author: Zilpha Keatley Snyder Rating: 10+ Category: fiction Sequel to: The Egypt Game We read this book & we want to review it. April is a sixth grade girl who lived in HOLLYWOOD until her mother was put on tour now she lives with her grandmother Caroline in the city. Melanie is also a sixth grader who lives in the city, with her 4 year old little brother Marshall who's pretty sharp for his age.Elizabeth is a fourth grader who is pretty sensitive. Ken is your everyday sports crazed kid. Toby is a sixth grader who lives with his dad in an attic of an apartment building. Bear is your typical every day loving dog. The plot of this story is that six kids try to play a game about Gypsies. They find a dog [Bear]. Their friend Toby runs away due to his Grandparents threat to adopt him. Toby finds a few outcasts. The 2 most exiting parts were when Toby met the outcasts & when the Dog [Bear] ran to find Toby.
