Wal-Mart Associate Approves

I loved the book. It was refreshing to have Wal-Mart portrayed so positive, especially since the media is always trying to find the negatives. The book was especially interesting since it took place in the south. I am also a Wal-Mart associate so I loved the way everything intertwined with Wal-Mart.

Spiritually Uplifting!

Mary Ellen Cooper's first book will certainly not be her last! I am looking forward to the sequel to The Greeter as I know there is much more to learn about the characters. I could identify with the characters in the book very much even though I was raised up North. I felt a spiritual connection to Jazz and The Greeter as they faced life's adversities with hope and faith. Mary Ellen has also had a personal impact on my life, and her book launch program and reception helped me realize everything IS going to be all right in my own life, personally, professionally and spiritually! The Greeter was most uplifting, and personally rewarding to read. Thank you, Mary Ellen, and start working on that sequel!

A Ray of Light, warming.

I had the honor to attend a book launch event with a local author, Mary Ellen Cooper. She awed me with her spirit. Rest assured, anyone on a spiritual quest will know her, by heart. There is no doubt that her name will be well recognized and smiled upon. If you are searching for a heart felt journey, share her journey, read her book, and get to know HER. It was indeed, my blessing.

Truly Inspired!

In a world filled with messages of dread and woe it was wonderful to read an inspiring message of hope and personal integrity. I am sure that many of today's youth will identify with Jess-Abe (Jazz) and his struggle to find himself in a world that seams to always be giving him a raw deal. But Jazz does not have to face this world alone. He has two immovable sources of hope that will help him to see that "Everything is going to Be All right!" The first is his personal faith in God; passed down to him by his mother, who was ever optimistic even up to her passing from cancer. And second is his always supportive and constantly inspiring mentor Mary "The Wal-Mart Greeter". I enjoyed this fast moving and inspirational book and look forward to many more to come from Dr. Mary Ellen Cooper.

Her first book?

It's hard to believe that this is a first effort. An expertly woven tail, with the essentials to capture even the most reluctant reader. Raised in the south, I recognized someone I knew on every page. I even had my own Marsha Jean. However, this is not a story of my south of yesterday, but of today's, with a mystery that binds together an intricately woven tapestry of southern life, southern lives, and southern people. People living their lives as only those of us in the south can, but, as always, with a twist.
