Cold Mountain Penitentiary has seen its share of death through the years, and now it's John Coffey's turn to take that final walk down the Green Mile. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is the final book of the serial. This 5 book story may be my favorite. This may even surpass "The Stand" and "IT" which were my previous #1 and #2. The movie, while good, doesn't do the story justice. An absolute must read.
Simply put...Wow

With this novel, King concludes the wonderful The Green Mile series, and he does this with mastery and excellence. The anguish of Coffey's fate will bring the reader to tears, and the fact that he is going to die for a crime he did not commit is truly heartbreaking. In addition, the destinies of all the other main characters will engross the reader. The Green Mile is a book that has captivated this reader, and I couldn't wait to continue this fantastic series and discover the newest secrets and see how the story unfolded. What King has done here is indescribable, and it can only be hoped that the movie rendition can live up to the phenomenal The Green Mile.

I eagerly anticipated the arrival of a new series every month. I walked into the grocery store just a few days ago and realized they had finally put the series into one book. Why? Was it so special that King just had to put the " Green Mile"into a series and then into one book! Give me a break! It was a really good book with a wonderful story, but next time one book will be just fine!!
Pretty Good

I am a 14 year old freshman in highschool , this book has encouraged me to read more. No so much because of Kings twisted mind but the way he leaves you hanging and it seems to become a nesecity to find out what happens to Mr. Jingle's ect...
Beautifully written and read

The audiobook unabridged version, read by Frank Muller, is the best audiobook I have ever had the pleasure of hearing! Mr. Muller's reading adds greatly to the joy of these stories. I am not usually a Stephen King fan, but I would recommend this book on tape to anyone who enjoys a good story.
The green Mile series=10

I thought that this series was the best of any thing King has ever done. I hope he will do more serises thrillers in the future. I was spellbound. I couldn't stop thinking about John Coffey. I think the books where magnifecent. I think he might be able to get a motion picture out of this one.
