fun read

Awesome first book. Against the backdrop of a college class reunion, the author explores past and present friendships, relationships, romance, sexual situations, and gossip! Surprisingly well written and unapologetic, the storyline moves quickly from one scene to the next. Highly recommended. A fun, erotic, and insightful read for readers of any orientation (except narrow minded).

Looking for It

Alex. "The Great Cock Hunt", Kensington, 2008. Looking For It Amos Lassen One would think that the title of this book says it all and in a way in does. However, do not be misled. "The Great Cock Hunt" is about more than looking doe sex, it is a fun and humorous read. Alex, the author, has written a delightful look at one gay man's search for great sex. It is a memoir in which Alex (also the name of our main character) takes a trip down his sexual memory lane. He escorts us to his memories of college and to his adventures as he looks for sex. He had previously written his tales of lust on his personal blog, www.thegreatcockhunt.com but he now feels it is time to put all of this into a book. His friends, Lizzie and Tommy, join him as he looks back at his life (and forward as well) as he finds out just who got married, who came out as gay, who is busy "tricking". He also tries to find some sex for himself as he looks at his life. Everything got started when Alex saw his ex-boyfriend with a new young man and he hooks up with them both. There are, of course, complications when one goes back in time and Alex's journey is never dull. He becomes involved in guy swapping, the seduction of straight men, participation in wild orgies and marathon sex sessions. As we watch Alex morph into the supreme sexual stud, we are treated to an inside look at his sex life and it is wild and unabashed. There are a myriad of characters in the book beginning with Lizzie, Alex's best friend, straight and pretty. Tommy is another "best" friend who also has sex with Alex when the two are sexed up. Bram is Alex's boyfriend even though the two are not monogamous. Geoff once dated Tommy but he is no longer in the picture while Dave, a straight friend, is Alex's crush. Add Dylan, a drug dealer, Thad, a guy in love with Lizzie and John, a fun guy who is now married and combine them with several others and we have a romp through gay America. Easy and fun to read. Alex has written quite a book. It won't make any literary best lists but it will be on my fun-to-read list for a very, very long time.
