I am proof that this book works!

I am - or was - an overweight teen. I really love the show Growing Up Gotti and once I heard that Frankie had a diet book comng out I thought that this would be a perfect oppurtunity for me to loss the weight for good. I ordered the book and it exceeded my expectations. Frankie is truly a great writer. This book encouraged me to follow his diet steps! Now, only half way through my diet, I have lost 24 lbs. And it is thanks to Frankie! So thank you for helping me and others lose extra weight for good.

WOW!

Wow. When I picked up this book, I didn't do it to help myself lose weight. I didn't even do it to get tips on eating healthier. I picked up the book because I am one of those crazed obsessive teenage fans and I wanted to help boost sales for Frankie. I also wanted to check out the pictures of him working out in it. But, once I got into it...it really made me realize that I should be eating healthier and excercising more, even though I am of average weight for my age and height. I found it so cool that with Frank being so young,he was able to share his journey to become known as the Hotti Gotii, and not the "Fatty Gotti: with the world. I even laughed at some of the things he says in the book. The recipes are great, and yes....the pictures are hot too!! Even though the book is aimed for teens, it's great for people of all ages. This book is very encouraging, and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone wanting to lose any amount of weight, any fans wanting to see pictures, or just someone looking for a good book. THANK YOU FRANKIE!!!

Very thorough and simple but good!

I do have to say that for being so young, Frank really seemed to know what he was talking about in this book. Everything he said was stated in a very clear, easy to follow manner. This is the perfect book for someone who is just starting to have an interest in eating right and getting healthy. If you are an experienced dieter this is not the book for you, however, I personally still found it a helpful, yet enjoyable to read. There are also some great simple receipes that he shares with his readers that I can't wait to try. I really have to give Frank credit not only for succeeding in this challenge on his own, but for having the confidence to speak so openly and expressing his feelings this book knowing that many will be reading it. Congrats, you look great Frankie, you really are insipring people to get healthy and gain well-deserved self-confidence!!

An almost taboo subject FINALLY taken on in a brilliant way!

The subject of Teen obesity and obesity in kids and young men is a subject that is hard to deal with. I am 25 years old and had a tough childhood growing up poor at times. Unfortunatly when you are teased as a child you always carry around insecurities and the emotional attachments to the food that comforts you in troubled times. Frank relates his own experiences honestly and very skillfully. Sometimes they were hard to read because they brought back the feelings that lurked beneath me growing up and currently today as someone who is slightly overweight and not having an easy time dealing with it. The diet itself is fundamentally sound and after being on it one week I have already dropped a couple of pounds. The exercise portion of this book is lacking but it is written for teenagers and you can find other books that will have better demonstrations and descriptions of exercises and the science of building muscle. The area which this book absolutely shines is with the recipes!!!!! These italian recipes are amazing and I have made them the foundation of my diet. The recipes taste amazing and make The Gotti Diet easy to follow and not as torturous as you might think a diet has to be!! I appreciate Frank and his mother Victoria for writing such an open and honest book. It has great style and emotional value that has benefited me already.
