Cleverly written and delightfully illustrated by Linda Marchus, The Gorilla Who Wanted To Dance is an exuberant picture book story about Louise, a passionate young gorilla girl who wants to dance even though the king forbids it. Louise sets out and meets and elephant, giraffe, and lion who also love dance, and together they put on a grand dance show for all the jungle animals. Crisp and clean color artwork embellishes this playful and entertaining tale of finding one's dream.
You'll Want to Read It Again

This is one of those children's books you want to read over and over again. That's because the intricate, colorful illustrations offer something new each time you look at them, and the fast-paced rhyme is fun (and funny) to read aloud. Highly original.
A book your child won't want to put down!

Not often have I seen my 6 year old grandson so captivated by a book. So many times a child simply wants to keep turning from one page to another. But not with Ms. Marchus' book. The illustrations are so beautiful and detailed - he lingers over each page asking questions about what he is seeing. What a great experience. Bravo!
