Although this book was written in 1939 its warnings ring just as true, and more so, today. Ms. Murray's insight into the differences between the good, moral man (the Good Pagan), the Christian (the Totalitarian Christian - as one who is completely devoted to Christ), and the Barbarian (the one who holds no belief system) is completely accurate. These 3 types dominate the bulk of her book, as she presents the plan of the Good Pagan to address the social and psychological needs of the Barbarian while utterly failing to reach the true source of the problem, and where the Christian succeeds in achieving to meet those needs.
Read the book in 1 day, it was that riveting!
