The Golden Rules a Golden Read

A delightful, fast-paced read:protagonist Owen Hill III answers an ad that promises riches - a quest for gold - and in his travels, bumps into all sorts of sinister characters like Rotbart, who is all that his name implies; along with losers, winners, charmers - all unforgettable. A sort of modern "Candide". Couldn't put the book down. Almost every page full of surprises. And it's well written!

Buy this book and read it before they make a movie out of it

Great story, great details, characters that you can really love and hate -- what more do you want? The perfect summer road novel. Even though this is kind of a guy's novel, it has a couple of great female characters. I can't wait to see who will play Maybellene in the movie.
