If you are 63 years old and still fond of and look forward to reading children - literature, it means that a child is still alive inside you and that you are not attracted by serious literature.Further the piece of children literature liked by you must have been very skilfully written by the author . Though my preferences in literature are poetry ang philosophy in other words I generally read serious literature, but when I recently read Laxmi Khanna Suman's writing, it gave me same satisfaction and pleasure as I got while reading his children stories about a decade ago .To be impressed by a classical piece like ' Alice in Wonderland ' is understandable but if writing without being classical or world - known, impresses you, it tells a talent of Author.' The Golden Fish ' is worth mentioning novel of Laxmi Khanna Suman . It is a beautiful piece of fiction. It's main character is a golden fish which when in a happy mood, lays Pearl shaped golden eggs .One of her daughters, after sucking her milk for an year can also become a golden fish . This happens once after a long time and for seven generations. After that it's not certain that any offspring will become a golden fish .This mother - daughter pair gets separated. The reader remains almost till end, in suspense weather they will get united again .Children are very kind and helpful and work hard to bring them together . Their role forms an important part of the novel . I am sure that not only children but grown -ups will enjoy reading this book.
