Written over the course of five years, this debut collection chronicles the journeys of a wide variety of characters and moments that impact their lives in profound ways. These colorful characters - young and old, mortal and otherworldly- push against the various barriers they encounter: political resistance in the face of an oppressive ruler, a final day for humanity on earth, a bridging of cultural differences, the tension between art and technology... Throughout these stories, a sense of mystery and adventure pervades and propels the characters to unexpected realizations about themselves and their place in the universe. The Golden Disk is a leap of the imagination, a flight to the stars and beyond.

The Kingsley Mystery: "This excellent piece of dark science fiction has lots of tension and solid plotting. In addition, it contains an imaginative extrapolation of where DNA manipulation and cloning may lead us in the future."
The Indigo Sisters: "A well drawn portrait of a young girl coming into her own. This story immerses us in her life in a series of well executed scenes. The story also brings up issues of clash of cultures and class. The relationships in the story evolve with both conflict and compassion."
The Golden Disk: "The best science fiction imagines the future in a way that illuminates the present. This expertly-crafted story inspires us to think about the meaning of art and the importance of political resistance, among other timely topics, as we learn about an alien civilization that has received a gift from Earth's recent past."
