The Faithfulness of God

"The God You Can Trust" is a book that speaks to all believers. Motivated by a deep love for people, Pastor Ray Pritchard offers hope and comfort to those who question their faith in the midst of pain and suffering. His honesty and compassion are evident in the fact that he doesn't offer easy answers or pious platitudes to hurting people. I especially appreciate his candor when he states that, "It's one thing to trust God when all is going well. It's something else to trust Him when life is falling apart." What he does offer, however, is the assurance that whatever happens, we are not alone, that nothing happens to us by chance, and that God is in control. Pastor Pritchard returns to the main theme of the faithfulness of God throughout his book - a God who keeps every promise, a God who never changes, a God you can take at His Word, and a God who knows us personally. Since being diagnosed with aggressive leukemia last year I have gone back to this book time and again for encouragement and reaffirmation of my faith. I stand on the promises of God because He has been faithful to me through every trial in my life, and there have been many in 61 years, especially this cancer. He has been faithful to me through all the medical procedures, the loneliness, the fear and the doubt. I discovered early on in my Christian walk that the source of all my faith is found in Pastor Ray's words, "We begin with God and we end with God, and He is our only hope between the beginning and the end." If God is challenging you to trust in Him, get a copy of this book and put your life in the hands of a faithful God!
