This book was really good because it was an adventure to beat time. Becca, Sander, Jingle and Lady Mer were really good characters because they were full of excitement. I started getting a little nervous when they said that the mermaid's tail was starting to turn to glass again. I was worried that they wouldn't make it. I was also worried when they put the mermaid in the water but she didn't move. They kept me guessing until the end.
VERY IMAGINATIVE!

I ALSO FIRST READ THIS BOOK AS A YOUNG GIRL I THEN RE-READ IT LATER AND I AM PLANNING TO DO IT AGAIN (I'M 21 YEARS OLD) I THINK IT REALLY ALLOWS A PERSON TO USE THEIR IMAGINATIONS WHEN THEY READ IT. IT'S A VERY UNPREDICTABLE STORY THAT ANY GIRL WILL LOVE!

When I first read The Glass Mermaid, I was in fourth grade. It is a wonderful book for elementary school-aged children, and for anyone who likes fantasy that keeps you guessing until the end! The descriptions of the journey inside the Christmas tree really make you feel you are traveling with the boy and the mermaid! I recommend this book to anyone.
