Everyone needs to read this book!

This poignant story is a must read for anyone enjoying civil liberties...we must acknowledge what is happening in NKorea! This book reads like a novel, like true crime, like a 70s Cold War spy thriller. The reality of this parallel universe is now and Lee Hyeon-Seo tells her story with dignity and honesty that is truly heartwarming. When you finish this book--and it will NOT take you long--you will feel like you have a new best friend you are willing to go to battle for. Do it by buying this, reading this and letting it change your life

I never understood how intense live was in North Korea until I read this book.

It was an exiting read. Just when I thought the story couldn’t get anymore intense, it did. This book brings to light how people live in North Korea.

Chilling, Tear-Jerking, and Incredibly Interesting

We often hear about North Korea from reporters that have never been anywhere near the country, but rarely from people that have experienced life there first-hand. Lee vividly describes her life in North Korea, the government, and the emotions behind leaving the country, even explaining why so many return to a life that seems so horrid to outsiders. I don't often cry while reading, but I was brought to tears several times while reading The Girl With Seven Names.
