My lifeline at one stage, and I still love it

This book got me through law school years ago, and I still go back to it for perspective. It's funny even 20 or 30 years after the pieces were written. And I've put some of the passages up on my wall to live by.

Still relevant

Our society has made advances since this 1980 book of reflections and reporting on the women's movement, but O'Reilly reminds us of things we know and tells us things we don't know in ways that make us more alert about issues that are still vitally important. She's smart, a good researcher, trustworthy. And she's wonderfully funny.
