This was the cutest, most adorable book I’ve read. I couldn’t put it down literally

They way this book kept me on my toes and melted my heart! Fell in love with both main characters!

Magic

It's hard to feel different at 15. It's hard to have a secret. Even worse when your secret comes to life and follows you home. Morgan is in love with a girl. But not just any girl. This girl is something rare and magical. Unfortunately, she also has a secret that could put Morgan and her friends in danger. A sweet teen love story told in adorable art. LGBTQ friendly. Family positive.

Protect our ~oceans~ Selkies!

Seriously though, being conscious of ones surroundings and thinking of the environment before nixing the short walk to the nearest garbage bin can make an ocean of difference towards protecting those adorable baby critters (especially sea creatures) we see in our Instagram feeds. I will also never look at a small rock alcove the same. Mostly because I'll be searching for baby seals. Thank you for reading thus far, and now to the review. The characters are relatable; Keltie's fun and upbeat nature pairs perfectly with Morgan's melancholia, the perfect person to pull Morgan up from the dark mental waters she's found herself in. Their love for one another is so genuine and wholesome, it was a pleasure to see how Morgan grew out of her shell and finally embraced who she is and that that's okay. Even with the fantasy element everything was realistic and believable, even Morgan's friends and the no-time-for-my- friends-because-I-have-a-partner thing that happens to anyone when a new special person comes into their life, with everything else on her plate I felt Morgan handled that well. Also the older couple next door is adorable! Normally I don’t consciously realize what the subplot is in a book without thinking back on the plot, but the environmental concern is evident yet subtle and doesn’t take away from the romance. In fact, Keltie's love for her seal family added to the overall feels of the book in my opinion. All in all, this is a sweet summer-y read that will have you going aww at all the cuteness, especially the art!
