Still Loving it!

In this volume the author gives a little of the plot away! You'll find out about how haine met shizumasa and other things too...!

Pure Shojo Fun Part 3

Who is Shizumasa Togu, really? One minute he is indifferent to Haine, his platinum status girlfriend, and the next he is pulling her close. This complex change in attitudes constantly throws Haine for a loop. Meanwhile, more complications with the Kamiya family, Haine's original clan, arise in the form of her former sister, Komaki. See, Komaki has shown up an made the announcement that she and Shizumasa are actually engaged. What will this news do to Haine? So, one thing this series proves is that you can never have two many love triangles. I am still enjoying it though, and the further revelations that are brought to life in this volume about Shizumasa have only improved his character and the overall storyline about all of the characters. I am really enjoying this series. I can't wait for volume 4.

Arina Tanemura's New Series Continues to Improve

The first chapter of this volume concludes the story of Haine's past begun in Volume 2, with a good insight into why she's so in love with The Emperor (Shizumasa). It also shows a much, much nicer side of Shizumasa than anything that he's demonstrated in the present. Later on, Haine manages to sneak into Shizumasa's mansion and his attitude towards her begins to thaw (finally...). A trip to the beach with the student councils of both Imperial Academy's middle and high schools isn't very productive work-wise, but does lead to some nice moments between Haine and Shizumasa and the appearance of Haine's biological siblings--whom she hasn't seen since her father gave her away. The art continues to be lovely (and I continue to confuse Ushio and Haine) and the story, although still drama-filled, feels lighter than the previous volumes, most likely due to the fact that Shizumasa has FINALLY decided to not be such a jerk. I also really like Haine's newly re-discovered siblings and hope that they reappear in later volumes. This is my favorite volume so far and hopefully Arina Tanemura continues to improve this series.
