A photographic tour of Florida Gardens

This 128 page book a treat for anyone planning on visiting the "sunshine State" and taking in some of the gardens. The publication features full color photos as well as the history and information on 19 gardens in the state. They include the city of Coral Gables, Parrot Jungle, Fairchild Tropical Garden, Vizcaya, Flamingo Gardens, Bonnet House, Morikami Japanese Garden. Mounts Botanical Garden and The Society of Four Arts Garden in South Florida. Caribbean Gardens, Thomas Edison Winter Estate Garden, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and Busch Gardens on the West Coast. Cypress Gardens, Slocum Water Gardens, Bok Tower Gardens and Harry P. Leu Gardens in Central Florida. Cummer Garden and Alfred Maclay State Gardens in North Florida. Additional gardens mentioned briefly but not photographed are the Museum of Natural History of the Florida Keys, Lignumvitae Key State Botanical Site, Blowing Rocks Preserve, Sunken Gardens, Mead Gardens, Heathcote Botanical Gardens, Sugar Mills Garden, McKee Botanical Gardens, Ravine State Gardens, Paynes Prairie, Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, Torreya State Park and Eden State Gardens.The back of the book features a calendar of Florida garden events as well as information on visiting which includes, addresses, admission (in 1998)and hours of operation.
