Great Read!

Clever mystery story with a nice plot and fairly well written. Just suspend your beliefs about how evidence is really gathered by undercover cops. Very erotic with lots of fun sex scenes. Definitely one that I won't be turning in to the used bookstore!

Atmospheric lust

An enjoyable read, sexy and it has a storyline too, although after thickening nicely, the plot wimped out with hints of a sequel to come. I enjoyed it.

The Gallery

I really like the Black Lace books and this was one of the best yet. I was almost transported there in my imagination. The descriptions were clear and vivid. The sexual scenes were very erotic. A great read

Have an interest in the slightly darker side of sex?

(It's all kinda relative, after all) I've found Fredrica Allyen's novels consistently explore sexual themes of power and submission, bondage, sex toys, pain as pleasure, and prolonged sexual tension. What's brought me back again and again to her work though is how she masterfully presents her craft as an erotic novelist; her characterization is smooth and believeble; her imagry is very vivid, yet controlled; her "love scenes" are erotic, sensual and extremely well paced. The combination of these qualities make for highly charged novels and I often find I can't put her books down 'til I've read them cover to cover. "The Gallery" was no exception; Cressida Farleigh, an undercover cop, takes on an assignment investigating the owner of a local art gallery suspected of art theft and fraud. If this kind of read suits your fancy, I'd also recommend Allyen's "The Bracelet", and Lucinda Carrington's "The Ninety Days of Genevieve" also from Black Lace (These last two are my personal favorites)
