The Biblical idea of the gospel and of salvation is sharply different from how today's church defines it. Even in most of the Western "conservative" church, salvation is little more than a one-way ticket to heaven, an unconditional pledge of a Platonic, heavenly existence to any and all who will "just say yes to Jesus." Religion to this way of thinking is little more than a sentimental existentialism, with a few vague or improperly understood theological terms tacked on for good measure. It is popular, but it is not Biblical. This description may be from another edition of this product.
