Martin Obaidi, even though an average guy, is blessed. Blessed beyond words because he has someone who brings light into his otherwise mundane world. That special someone is his fifteen-year-old son, Kuri.

One day, during a visit to the hospital after Kuri falls off his skateboard, hurting his leg badly, Martin meets Stephen, the dashingly handsome doctor in charge of looking after Kuri. Sparks soon fly between Martin and Stephen, and Martin, already blessed, now seems more so since he's found a different kind of love.

But the light that brings new blessings can also blind, and before Martin realises it, his wonderful world is about to become a nightmare when he discovers something terrible has happened to Kuri at the hands of the one person he should have trusted.
