Excellent "Plague in modern times" book by doctor

Nourse was an MD as well as a science-fiction writer. This book is well grounded in medical and historical fact.A new, antibiotic-resistant form of the Black Death arises in North American and kills many around the world. Nourse, correctly, describes the direct deaths from disease as being only a small part of the harm done.
