Nearly terrific

"Forgotten Girl" (my first Bell book) was gripping, memorable and VERY well written/edited. A few off-center things: 1) The basic premise -- warning a hyper-violent criminal in advance that you're going to turn him in for an old murder -- doesn't pass the smell test. (Did she think he was going to say, "Gosh, what a good idea"???) 2) There was a long repetitive stretch (Hayden's missing ... Hayden's missing ... guess what, Hayden's still missing). 3) I don't get the title. Nevertheless, I'll be reading more by this fine writer.

Suspenseful

I am a fan of David Baldacci and John Sanford. This was my first David Bell novel but it won’t be my last. While not as “intricate” as the other authors this book was suspenseful. The characters were relatable and well thought out. I found myself waiting for a boring chapter to put the book down - but there wasn’t any! Read it in two days.
