Ashleigh is torn. Ashleigh Griffen knows it's wrong, but she can't help it-she's jealous. Peter Danworth has everything: a huge Thoroughbred racing farm, money, and one of Ashleigh's favorite stallions, Aladdin. Then Ashleigh gets amazing news. If the stallion loses his next race, the Danworths will retire him to stud at Edgardale Excited, Ashleigh sneaks a ride on Aladdin -- and she accidentally discovers how to run him to win. Will she keep quiet so the magnificent stallion can live on her parents' farm? Or will she give Peter, the boy who has everything, Aladdin's secret?
I love the Thoroughbred series, but this is one of the best yet. It is so cool how Ashleigh discovers the problem with Alladin after she sneeks a ride on him. (She's not allowed to ride) I won't give the rest away. FANTASTIC BOOK! HORSE LOVERS- READ THIS BOOK!!!

In this book Ashleigh Griffen and her family spend a week at the Danworths' farm in Florida. Aladdin's Treasure, a colt the Griffens sold to the Danworths isn't running well and Ashleigh is devastated. She figures out his secret, but will she tell Peter who owns Aladdin? This book was great, even though Ashleigh acted a little bratty.

I loved this book. Chris Platt is a great young author. She obviously knows her horses, her people and how to write. She had the readers right there with Ashleigh in the foaling scene. She made everything come to life. I highly recommend this book and hope she continues writing the series. There is another Chris Platt book, Willow King (not in this series), which I really enjoyed also.
Great!

I really liked this Ashleigh book. Good job to the author - your writing style is similar to Joanna Campbell, where you focus on the love of horses and humans. I like all the racing and involvement. Ashleigh is my favorite character of all time (Besides WONDER) - they're the greatest. I think it would be neat if the author would have tied something to the current TB series, like Aladdins Treasure (Aladdin) could be the sire of Pirates Treasure (Pirate, Melanie's horse in the new books). I loved how Joanna Campbell tied Battle Cry into the Thoroughbred series w/ Fleet Goddess. I think it would be neat to do some of that tying in throughout the Ashleigh series. That would make it even better. Maybe Ashleigh could see some great Townsend horses race, like Townsend Victor, or maybe the family could breed Wanderer or Go Gen to Townsend Pride or something, then the foal would be Wonder's sibling. That would be some foal! Or maybe the Townsends could buy one of the Griffen's yearlings or something. Anyway, I do like the book and the racing involved. Can't wait for A Dangerous Ride, it looks like it'll be about Ashleigh wanting to become a jockey also. Good job!
