Nina Bruhns' storytelling gets better with each new release. Her latest is the much-anticipated sequel to "Ghost of a Chance". In Forbidden Enchantment Captain Sullivan Fouquet, who died about two hundred years ago, comes back to live as Fire Chief Captain Andre Sullivan. All those years ago, Sully had put a curse on the Sullivan family and their heirs, so why has he now been brought back as a Sullivan? Sully doesn't understand it and to add to his confusion, Elizabeth Hamilton reminds him of his once beloved Elizabeth Hayden. Elizabeth needed one thing from Sully and that was his bone marrow. Her brother by adoption, Caleb Sullivan was a distant relative of Andre Sullivan and she's hoping that they'll be a match to save Caleb's life. But the more time that Elizabeth spends with Sully, the more she realizes that there's more to him than meets the eye. Nina Bruhns' Forbidden Enchantment titillates, captivates and seduces the reader into the life and heart of sexy Captain Sullivan Fouquet. Sully brings to mind the pirates of days gone by, treasure, swords, swashbuckling intrigue and passion. Sully has to learn to live in the twenty-first century and it's an enjoyable ride as he sweeps into Elizabeth, and the readers lives. Once again, Ms. Bruhns finds the perfect blend of mystery, passion and heart-warming characters that hit home with her reader. This one-sitting read is enjoyable and memorable. I was ready to grab all the books off my keeper shelf by this author and read them all over again. This is a powerful story that is dripping with sexual tension, heart and intrigue.
