Unusual Main Character

I had read Memory Man which introduced Amos Decker, an usual character. This book, The Fix, is also an Amos Decker book. Thankfully these books are not those that you know the ending by the time you get 1/3 of the way through - they keep your interest until the end. My experience has been that Baldacci always does a good job.
