This book is for any church leader desiring grow their church

AME CHURCH, BUY THIS BOOK!

My Pastor advised our congregation, of an AME Church to all purchase and read this book, it was great advice! He was newly assigned to our church and came with lots of changes that needless to say was met with lots of opposition and drama. This book put into perspective what he is trying to do with bringing our church out of traditions that no longer work, with respect to focusing on our main objective...WINNING AS MANY SOULS TO CHRIST AS WE CAN, and meeting our spiritual needs...AMEN!! This book is not just for making your church a five star experience, but you can also apply it's principles to your workplace, developing your own business, even changes within yourself. This book is a must buy if your church is starting lose members or if your church just isn't growing.

I read this book a few years ago and it has changed my life. I use this as the cornerstone of my non-profit work. I have used the concepts and outlines to help other churches. Dr. Toler wishes to bring all churches to their full potential. Buy this for your pastor, your church board, for business people you care about. Five Star Church is a movement for quality and excellence!

Finally some common sense.

Churches for too long have applied the Field Of Dreams mentality "If we build it, they will come." The result is churches all over America with mediocre faclilities, out-of tune pianos and a real lack of excellence.Toler and Nelson use a great narrative to help church leaders understand the importance of excellence and offer some practical insights to help setup the building blocks required for church growth.I highly recommend this book for any church leader - paid or volunteer - who would like to see their church move to the next level.

Stan Toler and Alan Nelson have finally applied the principles of Total Quality Management to the place it's needed most, The Church. God asks for our best as disciples and stewards and their book is a great primer on how we can fullfil God's request. Even though the concept of TQM is complex and at times daunting to a novice they have explained it in simple, down to earth terms, which make it easy to understand, and more importantly makes sense to just about anyone. It's a great starting point for any pastor or ministry leader who is looking for a proven method to improve their ministries without gimicks or bells and whistles. If you want a sure fire way to take your ministry or church a higher level then this book is a "must read".
