The Groovy Girls Rock

I think it's a terrific book. It's about six girls named Gwen, the twins Reese and O'Ryan, Oki, Vanessa, and Yvette. They're always jazzed up for a sleepover slumber party. It's also funny that they make up words like "beautilicious." They like to tease each other, like when O'Ryan was playing the trumpet and Reese said she looked like a chipmunk. Even if they make silly mistakes, they're never too tired to have fun.

These books are just really FUN to read!

My daughter absolutely LOVES this series. It's about a group of good friends who make some big sleepover plans together, yet have some minor conflicts along the way (as friendships do). The stories are all really sweet & fun to read about. They promote girls in a positive light. Sure they are into fashion, but also very smart & athletic. They do use pop-culture wording, but nothing offensive. If fact, it makes it that much more fun to read to my 1st grader. And hilarious when her dad reads to her "Those supreme jeans are off the hook!" We love them. We have read the first 2 & are ordering the #3 & #4 tonight. I'd place the reading & interest level at 1st-4th grade.

Messy and funny. As cool as can be! Vanessa: The 5th grade girl Vanessa, is cool can be bossy [ but in a cool way! ] Awesome sports player! As cool as can be! Yvette: The superstar 5th grader Yvette.
