A Wonderful Find
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
The Find is a gripping, suspenseful murder mystery from beginning to end. It traverses the world of Miami, Florida, the Cayman Islands and London. It touches on antiquities and the Holocaust. The characters are mature, the writing animated, the details engaging and as the plot unfolds, readers becomes engaged with the protagonists and the crime. Modern criminology is joined with Aztec history to solve a murder decades old and give flesh and narrative to a skeleton found beneath the ruble. Throughout the novel there is much to uncover and the prosecutor and investigator leave no stone unturned in their search. The Find is quite a find. Michael Berenbaum

The Find is one of the best murder mysteries I have read. Once I started it I just couldn't put it down. Ms. Jax takes us on an exciting and fascinating journey from Miami to Cayman to London and back. I look forward to her next book and another adventure with Claire and Guy.

THE FIND engaged my attention from the first paragraph to the five final words. I wanted to turn the last page and begin book two. Claire's investigation of murder and fraud crimes examines the link between historic and current events in surprising new ways. Claire and Guy exude the highest personal and professional integrity; I want to join their team. When their journey takes them from Florida to the Caribbean to London, Jax has me experiencing the sights, sounds and smells not just reading about them. Jax is a fresh voice that I sense has more stories to tell. I eagerly await the next release.
