The Feng Shui Matrix

Kartar Diamond has written a "jewel" of a book. The Feng Shui Matrix and her previous book, Feng Shui for Skeptics have resurrected my passion and curiosity for learning and applying this ancient technology. Since the 1990s I have read countless Feng Shui books. Within many of them I discovered an epidemic of New Age embellishment of traditional Feng Shui concepts and practices (which I managed to mine within a few of the more classically-oriented publications). Some of the "schools" of Feng Shui radically bend core concepts of the tradition. Some rose to a height of commercialism in the frenzy of rampant publications, which often undermined the authenticity and dignity of the practice. Most importantly, in the quagmire of information there was no clear direction for assessment and remediation of a property--even the best of the books had inadequate instruction for the novice for whom they were marketed. Kartar Diamond has polished the commercialism and confusion off of Feng Shui. I now have a clearer understanding of the many "facets" of this ancient wisdom in her gem of a book. I encourage anyone interested in improving their knowledge and application of this tradition to read all of Kartar's books. After exposure to her thoughtful approach, some readers will probably consider dynamiting the other Feng Shui books they have already purchased. I did.

Fantastic book!

I have been a student in traditional feng shui for quite some time now and have had the priviledge of getting advises from Kartar personally. I respect her opinion greatly and have owned both of her books. I keep these books handy as reference materials and use them all the time. I believe Kartar is a very effective communicator. As a serious FS learner and practicianer, I'm always grateful to get Kartar's perspective, whenever she has time to give comments. I find her books to be frank and full of practical information. Kartar cuts through all the nonsense and misinformation and explains things in an easy to understand manner. Whether you're mildly interested in the subject or a serious FS enthusiast, you'll find this book useful. I for one feel very lucky to have found traditional FS, after years of dabbling and trying many other schools and reading many books in the markets, to remedy my own home. I have no more doubts that traditional FS (flying star) works. Thank you, Kartar, for contributing your knowledge, to the FS community and to the world. Keep up the good work!! This greatest fan of yours from Minnesota can't wait to get your next book!

Very good, very interested

I really loved this book. It's very explicit and it makes sense. There are a lot of information you can use in your house. I've read a lot of Feng Shui books and they all say different things. This book is the one you can trust. I can't wait reading her other books. And if there is something you don't understand, just ask directly Kartar. She'll answer your question right away. I absolutely recommend this book.

Basic and easy to read

For the uninitiated, feng shui is an ancient oriental system of balancing a person's surroundings to achieve a happier and healthier life. It is no different than eating a balanced diet to achieve better physical health. The first thing a person should do is to find out what direction their house faces. Don't assume that it faces directly east, for example, or directly south; buy a good compass and find out for sure. It matters. The book lists the best, and worst, colors to paint the exterior of your house based on the direction it faces. Depending on the year a person was born, everyone has a personal wealth direction. If at all possible, sleep with your head pointing in that direction. Also, if possible, enter a house, or a room from that direction. If personal creativity is more important, then using the year of birth according to the Chinese Zodiac, find your creativity direction, and sleep in that direction, or enter a house from that direction. Every Zodiac sign also has a draining direction, that will make it harder to save money, for example; avoid this direction if possible. A vase of water and fresh flowers placed in the proper part of the house (again based on your Zodiac sign) does attract more opportunities for romance. The book also includes short descriptions of 72 different house types, based on the direction it faces and the time it was built. Finally, if an important part of your house happens to be in the bathroom or garage, don't despair; there are ways to get around it. Ready for a change in your life? Perhaps the problem is in your surroundings. This book is easy to read, and starts with the basics. If doing all the things in this book at the same time is not possible, then start with just one.

WOW! Finally a feng shui book that really tells all!

I highly recommend this book to all of my own Feng Shui clients as it is a terrific source of information for both professional practitioners and for those that are not trained in this very specialized field of Earth science. 95% of the fs books out there are erroneous and don't go into the simple, hands on, user friendly format that Kartar's does. She presents many helpful tips to help educate folks who are presently working with a Traditional Feng Shui professional or are just interested in having helpful, solid info to further their own interest in REAL FENG SHUI.
