Hard to Find Chemist Biographies

A very good book that chronicles short (15-20) page treatments of each chemist. A sketch is made of each to show their appearance. No other pictures included. The book covers the basics of each chemist starting usually with early schooling and early interests in chemistry. The book is rather lacking in information about some of the most famous experiments that these chemists conducted. It talks about them rather obliquely without a single formula shown. This may be great news for those just looking for information to do a report on the life of a chemist. This book covers: Dalton, Lavoiser, Priestley,Berzelius, von Liebig, Mendeleev, Pasteur, Curie, Pauling, Willstater and Hodgkin. Hope this helps you. Cannot be found new, but is available used and through the library.
