Short, Sweet and Covers Entire Scope Of The Astro Sciences

I just picked this book up last night and read the entire 65 pages during my 40 minute train ride home. I found it very easy to read and entertaining on its level of clarity, preciseness and organization of very abstract ideas. It presents all the current terms and topics of the Astro Sciences (Cosmology, Astronomy, Astrophysics & Biochemistry) with the style of a comic book so key terms are no longer buried beneath layers of formulas and pages and pages of words. Because of it's simplicity and great illustrations, this book succeeds at introducing the beginner to the Astro Sciences without scaring them away or boring them. You will leave with some idea of where we come from and how we fit in to the universe. I've taken 2 years of college physics and more than one semester of astronomy and I felt that this book sums up pretty much what I learned before in 60 pages. Of course there is more to what is expressed here and the book does not go into details on how each theory developed, but it does pay respect to all the scientists and theorists by taking a few pages to explain how we came about these ideas through the techniques and knowledge that have been shared and passed on in the scientific community. So it not only shows us the widely accepted results, but also explains the importance of the steps used to get the results. This is a great book for kids that are at a 3rd grade and up reading level and a nice book for adults that are curious about a field they've never spend time learning about. Also good for teachers that want to learn how to explain these though ideas in simple terms.
