In the first chapter or it may even be in the Preface, it says all the books available, if they are more than 5 years old, they are outdated. Its copywright is 1996, since then we have seen the New Economy Boom and now we are in the midst of a New Economy Crash(maybe). Right now, jobs are not as easy to come by, anyway.I would have to say that so far its content is readily applicable, still. Although, we are not quite halfway through it.

Easy reading with lots of great points. Really prepares you for the job search process and once secured in a position, gives you some logical steps to start the corporate climb. After reading many of the chapters, found myself saying "That's true, I never thought of that". The book is more than a guide, its a bible for every executive, young or old.
