Small enough to carry in your pocket . . .

This is one of those small volumes that holds an amazing amount of wisdom, hope, encouragement and power to motivate; one of those pleasant surprises in life where you get much more than you would think such a small book could hold. Usually I find one of "those" books on the shelf of a used book store, or an antique store where everything holds the promise of wonder and a mystical, magical quality. The Excellence Book: 104 Principles of Living and Working, is small enough to put in your pocket or purse and important enough to be there so you can reach for it at a moments notice. The book offers a sentence about subject,("Excellence makes adjustments where mediocrity makes excuses," and "In the wake of disappointment, excellence responds with persistence,") then one paragraph thoughts that let the reader know Dana has been there and done that. He's felt the disappointment, joy, sadness and rejuvenation we all feel. He's walked the walk. Dana LaMon is a very special person and his willingness to share his thoughts and knowledge with others is his gift to the world. The only way you could lose by purchasing this book is if you let it sit on a shelf and gather dust.
