Did you know that the poodle ranks among the top ten breeds in America? It comes as no surprise when you consider their lovable personalities and easily trainable temperament. Poodles are known for... This description may be from another edition of this product.
An older Phantom tiny toy found me: definitely not a dog I'd have bought, but such a smart, diplomatic, delightful little guy. My mother had poodles & I liked them, but never thought of having one, myself. I'd been thinking the little ones were dim-witted & hard to train: but not at all. Everything that worried me, I looked up & found an answer for. How to brush, what kind of brush, what about those mats & tangles, & c. But most important--a deal breaker--I thought I had a problem with willful occasional accidents in a seemingly well-trained dog. Adams says that neutering him will solve that. (There Are Ladies Present, so we already had the appointment.) I would definitely recommend this book. It speaks plainly in a straightforward way. I find it really, really useful.

I found this book to be very helpful. I used the training techniques, which were written well and easy to understand. Also the history and temperament of the Poodle gave me great insight. I wish I had gotten this book when I first got my Poodle.

Lots of information that I had never read anywhere else, and I've read a lot of dog books. It is obvious the author loves dogs. My only complaint is just not enough pictures. But great, great book.
