So easy to read

I lead a small youth Bible Study. One of my girls has reading difficulty. She is improving. Recently she said she wished she had a Bible like mine, one she can understand. She is getting her wish, I placed an order for a copy for her. This one is so readable, excellent study material, ample concordance. super word and topic studies.

This is TRULY the Bible for EVERYDAY use!

As a Bible collector and reader, I found this Bible to be unique and readable. The bottom footnotes are plentiful, but don't drown the Bible text. The Bible text is the readable NEW CENTURY VERSION. The knock on the NCV is that it oversimplifies or removes some of the literary value from the text. If you are familiar with other versions you may find some of the revisions odd. However, if you want to actually ABSORB the original writings in everyday english, then this is the Bible for you. The editors have also done us a service in their diligence to controversial topics. They have devoted whole pages to these subjects without interjecting a personal bias. Kind of like we report and you decide! These articles will still point you to the Cross without a doubt. And there are wonderful illustrations of Old Testament objects and achealogical discoveries. You can bring this Bible to your Wednesday night study with pride and the knowledge that the complicated will be made simple.

The Everyday Study Bible is the one to use EVERYDAY!

Every ten years or so, publishers come out with "new" Bibles to make words and concepts more in line with the current culture. The Everyday Study Bible acomplishes this goal and more by giving the student a translation that operates efficiently, yet communicates effectively. In addition to the readablity, there is uncanny scholarship within the notes and articles by Joel B. Green and Tremper Longman. What these guys have expertly done is point the reader in the proper direction without actually telling them what to think. They let the Bible do that. There are excellent topics on contoverial issues within the church that are presented with clarity and completeness. Some hardline KJV'ers will cringe at the thought of having The Word clear and simple. Yet that is exactly what this Bible does-and what America needs. Anything that furthers Gospel truths ought to be applauded and embraced. This Bible is harder to find and somewhat less trendy than the NLT or NIV, but it certainly surpasses them in simplicity and uniqueness. God wants us to UNDERSTAND His Word. This study Bible manages that request and more! I highly reccommend this version!

WONDERFUL

I purchased this Bible 9 years ago and some how I lost it. I have been looking for one to replace it every since. Then I found it with a different cover. It's feels like being lost and finding your way home. This Bible is wonderful. If you have a hard time reading and understanding the standard King James Version, this Bible is for your. It breaks it down so that you can understand and it answeres every question you ever thought to ask. It is written in standard English even a child could understand. This is the Bible to buy.

Outstanding version. Wish it had a center margin reference.

The New Century Bible is outstanding! I have been an avid King James Version reader since I was a child but the New Century Bible speaks like a letter written yesterday, not two thousand years ago. I would only wish that their next edition comes in a higher quality leather and with center references. Great work.
