Very insightful

It is not a long book, but the insights and information it contains make quite an impact. I appreciated the fact that it didn't wander off into New Age jargon and salesperson-type ideology, instead retaining a more 'real' viewpoint of relationships, consciousness and development. Now, while the book's title might appear a little challenging, the book is far from it, and in very few pages it delivers a nicely-rounded and encompassing model for viewing our interactions in the world. I especially enjoyed the section titled "Helping others Grow", which when viewed with the ever-growing self-help seminar industry in mind, shows up the the fallacy that there are quick fixes to be gained in mass-produced weekend-long seminars involving psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, often used by unqualified 'teachers'. Once the model that Toru Sato uses is understood, one can easily jump to the section one wishes to view and in very few pages find a clear understanding of it. I've read enough self-help books that expound great sounding but unrealistic ideas to never want to read one again, but this book cuts through all the mumbo-jumbo to deliver messages that are, at the same, both obvious yet insightful. I would highly recommend it.

Pure gold for getting along better with the people in our life...

Dr.Sato is one sharp cookie, and writes clearly too. A very practical book on how we 'steal' and give energy between each other. He dosen't expect us to be perfect in dealing with the ones we have relationships with, and he tells us why we act as we do, and how to improve our relationships with other people by a careful interchange of energy...It's all energy, and this is a handbook on how to juggle energy so we all get what we want. This book is far better than I thought it would be. I'm no spring chicken, and I've learned tons of good stuff that has already made my relationship with other people WAY better. Wish I had this years ago, but it's not too late for you to get in on a good deal...The insight of A Master: Dr. Toru Sato. Highly recommended.

Very insightful

This excellent book explains the nature of human interaction by examining how we give and take energy from each other in both healthy and unhealthy ways. The author also provides wonderful insight into how we define ourselves internally and the ways this definition determines our level of self-esteem. The book is small and easy to read. The material is very thought provoking and I find myself reading only a few pages before I need time to reflect on how the concepts play out in my life. I have had some wonderful personal breakthroughs as a result of reading this book. I recommend it.

Gave me a new start

Do you spend a lot of time complaining about your life? Do you criticize others in a discouraging way? Do you boss people around? Do you often feel tired of people expecting you to do things that you don't want to do. Do you have a habit of talking people's ears off? Do you yell or belittle others when you disagree with them? Then you should read this book. I've had some bad things happen to me and I noticed that react badly to people because of that. It's not about who is right or who is better. It's about what is best for everyone including me. I'm not very good at dealing with them yet but at least I see my insecurities and the bad ways I am dealing with them. It's a start. We all have to start somewhere right? This book gave me that start.

Everything I wanted to know!

There are many books on self-help, relationships, spirituality, and psychology for the general public out there but this one is probably the best I have ever read by far (and believe me, I have read many). This book explains almost everything I wanted to know in a simple, interesting and inspiring way! It provides us with answers about our relationships, our development, our mind, as well as the evolution and history of the world. I couldn't believe how everything made so much sense when I was reading this book! It is quite simple but I never really got it and from what I have heard from other people and read in other books, not many people do get it. Don't get me wrong, the answers do not always provide easy solutions to our everyday problems (it's not a book that promises you instant happiness) but it helps us put our problems in perspective and deal with them effectively. It enables us to see how it all comes together if we understand some basic underlying rules about nature. Don't miss out. Highly, Highly, Highly recommended!
