Fine furniture is within every woodworker's reach with this inexpensive and appealing wood. The Essential Pine Book features: 12 attractive and practical projects, including a Franklin chair, spice... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I bought this book because of the projects in it. There are 12 different projects, ranging from a small spice cabinet, to an outdoor planter bench, and a blanket chest. The designs are very nice, with good photography of each piece. The authors also have nice descriptions of different species of pine, listing what each type of wood is most useful for. With that said, this book isn't for beginners. It assumes you to be familiar with table saws, jig saws and routers, and techniques like biscuit joins and dovetail joints. Most of the designs are very good, but a few are missing dimensions for important pieces, and I can't find the errata on the Internet. Unfortunately, those are the projects I really wanted to make!
