Peppering his discussion with fresh stories and real-world application, A.J. Conyers looks anew at what the Gospels really say about the end. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Dr. Conyers served as Professor of Theology at George W. Truett Seminary where I received much of my theological education. He has recently passed away and this fact has caused me to come back to this book again. I found his theology impeccable and his biblical expositions both orthodox and daring. Particularly interesting is what Dr. Conyers says about Matthew 24:14. While this passage has been traditionally interpreted as being a motivator for missions and evangelism, Dr. Conyers sees this passage as describing a Christian's participation in the redemption of the world from evil. As we spread the good news of Jesus Christ, evil in the world will lose its stronghold and its end (evil?s end) will be imminent. This spreading of the good news is what Dr. Conyers did with his life and this truth is powerfully evident in this short but potent book.
