Why can't we get along and why can't we learn from our own mistakes?

Dr. Cahrles Konia has dared to answer the question which humanity has wondered about for millennia and which is more relevant than ever today. Why can't we get along and why can't we learn from our past mistakes? He has given us a clear answer and surprisingly enough a simple one, as least as a concept, following the intuition and the genious of Wilhelm Reich and Dr. E. Baker. The vast and capillary material covered does not allow space for doubts or recriminations. If respect for life makes us want to change this endless stalemate, as individuals we can attack this problem by planting an untainted seed, i.e. a child of our own, or can be of support to those who feel the same way we do. Our work is enormous and daunting, but the book will not allow us any other choice, lest we allow passivity and whatever it brings along, to sweep us in the downright spyral of history. 25 years of orgonomy have not prepared me for the outstanding clarity of this book, nor for the solution of this endless riddle. Presented with such an inestimable gift, gratitude might seem just like a cliche' but I cannot keep wondering what was the vision that led an extraordinarily busy professional like Charles Konia to devote the great many hours he did to perfect this cry for life. If your life is worth a disquieting book and the stark truth, then this is something you owe yourself.

For those who are willing to look and think "outside the box"

The content of so many books examining the human evil, the world, sociology, politics, psychology and medicine can be predicted within the first few pages. They often fall into specific categories: right, left, for, against, moralistic, mechanistic. The Emotional Plague: The Root of Human Evil defies such categorization. This is a truly fresh and paradigm-challenging look at the subject, which is vast. You can open this book to any page, read, and come away with insight that you will ponder for days or longer. When you buy this book do so with the expectation that it will be read and reread many times. This book challenges the reader to look. Brilliant.

Thinking Outside The Box

This is a remarkable book, and the theories presented may just be right!! They stand outside of "accepted" thinking on social and scientific matters, but the logic is sound and the presentation convincing. The author holds that we humans are shaped by something more and deeper than our present social and economic environment or our hard-wired heredity. This book is not for you if you are sure that what you think is right. It really has to be read with an open mind and a view to where what is is right -- and in what way it makes sense. Science, religion, sociology, medicine and lots more are examined in a whole new way. The book is a bit upsetting but well worth a read. Richard Smith

Profound!

If you believe that "No Child Left Behind" solved the problems with our system of public education; if you believe that HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Privacy Act) improves the delivery of our medical care, if you think that giving poor people free housing and food stamps solves the problem of poverty, then you will not understand this book. An armored society raises armored children who grow up to become armored adults. Armoring is the mark that this kind of upbringing makes on us, it distorts our development and represses the natural expression of our emotions. Armored people are different: their perceptions; their thinking and their feeling become twisted in passing through the armor, and when armored people act politically on these twisted perceptions, thoughts and feelings, it is always destructive. Mankind has been stumbling around in this trap for thousands of years, and finally someone is turning on the light. This revolutionary book explains, more clearly and more completely than ever before, the development of this destructive plague and its disastrous consequences. Dr. Konia gives us hope that if we can only see the problem for what it is, we can begin to fight it effectively.

Compelling Read

This book carefully explains the root causes for the misery caused by evil actions in societies all over the world. While book lists are loaded with apologies for actions taken by criminals, The Emotional Plague goes directly to the emotional reasons for these problems. This is not a book about terrorism per se. Rather it is about how we are all affected by the emotional illness of society in ways big and small. Well researched and well argued, this book is one that I have bought for friends to read.
