Most books on colonial architecture focus on New England houses, which are completely different than Virginia houses, so this book is indeed a rarity. Not only does it cover the history of Colonial Virginia architecture and materials, but provides in-depth and detailed information on architectural elements of the Williamsburg houses. Included are elevations and floor plans.
