Love this series!

I'm a big fan of the Bastion Club series. This is a great story in that the heroine is very strong. Even with all the alpha males in these stories, she is able to keep them in line. I was also excited to get part of the mystery of Dalzeil solved. Now we await the final book and find out his story. If you love Stephanie Laurens' books, the Edge of Desire is a winner.

This was enjoyable. I just disappointed I have to wait till next year to get the next book in this series.

Wow! I found that I could not put this down

Like all of Stephanie Laurens books this was a great page turner. I think that this one is the best book of the Bastion club series so far. I must say I cannot wait to read her final book in this series on the mysterious Dalzeil. If this book is good what is the final book going to be like? I can't wait to read it.

Another good story!!

I too have read most of Ms. Laurens' books. Enjoyed this one as much as the others. Doesn't matter that it was off here and there, a tad slow in the beginning, and the starring couple (Christian & Letetia) were not perfect, either in personalities or temperment. It was entertaining and that's the bottom line. I myself will continue to purchase and read Ms. Laurens' stories and can't wait for Dalziel's.

Loved the story

Unlike many romance novelists, Laurens knows how to write a mystery. She has a knack for dropping information a bit at a time, one clue leading to another throughout the book. She also knows how to stretch out the action and sustain the tension in a story once the villian is revealed. This book is an excellent example of this talent. The Edge of Desire breaks from the mystery of the traitor which runs through the Bastion Club series to focus on one murder. The question of who committed the crime is muddled by false clues and the discover that the man is not who he seemed. Laurens fans will also note that she seems to have taken a step back from the sensuality levels of her previous Bastion and Cynster novels. The romantic side of the novel is more of a rebuilding of a broken trust where previous books tended to show a rise in passions. Bastion fans will also be happy to see more information about the secretive Dalziel. He is on the verge of revealing his past and will have his own novel in Fall of 2009. Ms. Laurens is an entertaining and talented writer. I thouroughly enjoyed this novel and highly recommend it.
