perfect for struggling readers!

What a shame that this book is out of print (as are the others in this series)! I am working with a struggling third grade reader, a boy and an avid baseball fan, for whom this book is perfect. It's interestingly written; the cartoon illustrations are sophisticated and funny; the how-to-play content really appeals to him. This is an easy-to-read book an 8-year-old can choose without feeling that it's beneath his dignity. There isn't a third grade teacher on earth who wouldn't like to have a dozen copies.
