An Affair to Remember

What can I say, Mrs Jackson never stops!!!. Durango Westmoreland is another after my own heart. Brenda surely does her thing again as another Westmoreland is taken off of the market. Durango the "poster boy" for confirmed batchlerhood is blindsided by the after effects of a memorable "one night stand", but in true Westmoreland fashion he handles the situation like to man that he is and to his surprise he finds the love that he did not even knew existed. Read in 5 hours. Eagerly awaiting "Ian's Ultimate Gamble" due to arrive any day now. Please pick up the whole Westmoreland Series. You won't be disappointed!!
An Affair To Remember

Boy, Ms. Jackson has certainly done it again with the Westmoreland men. This time it is Durango Westmoreland - rugged, mountain man, handsome and with the intention of being a confirmed bachelor. However, good his intentions are, he is also an honorable man and when circumstances "pops up" in the form of Savannah Claiborne's unexpected pregnancy, Durango takes action as only a Westmoreland man would. He sets about with firm commitments to be a father to his baby even if it means marrying Savannah. It's not that he does not think Savannah is worthy of him, it is just the idea that he has to kiss his bachelorhood goodbye. How many other Westmoreland men have felt the same way? Well, to name a few, there was Dare, the Sheriff who suddenly found out that his long-time love was also the mother of his pre-teen son. Then there was Thorn, who wanted to just build motorcycles and ride the fast life. However, when Tara stepped in, she was the challenge he could not overcome. How about Storm, the firefighter, who discovered love in the heart of New Orleans or his brother Stone, who thought all he had to do was write about love and romance. Unknowing to him, Stone's love was riding the plane with him. These are just a few of the Westmoreland clan. Durango Westmoreland is truly an example of what all males should be and do when they are involved in a situation where it is not only the female to blame, but hey, it does take two to tango. I wish the majority, if not all men, would step up to the plate and face their responsibilities. Ms. Jackson has really kept the readers up to date with the Westmorelands and believe me, "there has never been a dull moment." Again, Ms. Jackson, we enjoy the stories, please keep them coming.
Durango...a smooth ride

I LOVE anything Brenda Jackson writes. Being the die-hard fan that I am, I patiently waited for "The Durango Affair." My last "fix" was "Taking Care of Business," so needless to say; I finished this book in about 5 hours. However, I must say: Although the passion and fire was there, it seemed to be less of it in this book. Usually, Brenda will throw down on more than a few pages of hot passion and leave me hanging on every word. I don't know what it is...maybe it's because Harlequin published a few of her last books, as opposed to her earlier books from BET and St. Martin's Griffin. For example, "No More Playas" and the "Madaris" series made me grab a pillow and beg for water. Overall, "The Durango Affair" was still VERY good because it introduced Durango and kept us connected with all the other fine Westmoreland brothers and cousins. I'm looking forward to meeting Ian. If you haven't been properly introduced to the family, start with "Delany's Desert Sheikh" (which may be hard to get) and "A Little Dare." Hopefully, her next book and those coming from Kimani Publishers will offer more of her oh-so-sexy and "it's getting hot in here" trademark. I'm anxiously awaiting her next book. As always, much respect Ms Jackson!
The Man Is a Westmoreland!

A Westmoreland always takes responsibility for his actions, no matter what they are. This concept was drilled into Durango and his brothers from youth on. But how can Durango apply that to his current situation? Savannah Claiborne has dropped a bomb on Durango's peaceful life - she's pregnant. True to his upbringing, there's only one thing to do - get married. They agree on a marriage in name only. Some agreements are meant to be broken. How long can these two remain married in "name only?" Book eight of the Westmoreland series and Ms. Brenda is still going strong. As with all the previous Westmoreland books, The Durango Affair is a quick and enjoyable read. I'm ready to gamble with Ian!
