AS DELIGHTFUL AS ALL HER OTHER NOVELS!

Lady Charlotte Hughes has lived a double for so long that it is hard for her to remember who is the real her. At night she is the famed Lottie English, an opera singer without compare; a stunningly beautiful woman who is as fascinating as she is mysterious. By day, she is an ordinary woman, sister to aN overbearing, dominant and despicable brother who wants her wed and out of his life. Even as she drives men wild with her evening persona, Charlotte, "Lotty" has only had eyes for one man - Collin Ramsey, Duke of Newark, but has never once thought that he night share the same attraction. To her surprise, the Duke spirits into her dressing room one night and professes is undying admiration! Knowing her as only Lotty English, Colin purely by coincidence finds out her true identity. Now that Colin has found her out, Charlotte will succumb to Colin's desires but only in matrimony - as being married to him would allow her the freedom she so long has desired to tour the continent with her singing and continue with her carrier. Now, Charlotte has a husband that also has secrets of his own and is nothing what she believed he would be, plus sharing with him a passion she would have never imagined! I always love Adele Ashworth's books. The plots are original, the characters engaging and she always takes the sensuality to a whole different level. This was a beautiful book - one I highly recommend!

A Little Far Fetched, but Still Entertaining

I will not summarize the plot again as it has been done several times by other reviewers. I have to agree with the reviewer who said that some of the elements of the plot are a little hard to swallow. But they are spun together well and add to an exciting story that kept me turning the pages. This is a good book as long as you don't examine some of the plot elements too closely.

Loooooved it!

I loved this book....looooved it. Obviously some people have very different taste in what they think is a good and substantially well written book. But I waited a long time for this book and was not disappointed. The plot was different for me and pulled me in completely. The tension was there. The character development was strong. I never got bored and thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a keeper and I was enthralled. I won't go into a big, heavy review as others have. I just wanted to get my two cents in. It was worth it to me and I will read it again. It also sizzled which is always a plus too! If you like Adele's book then I think you should like this one as well.

The Duke's Indiscretion

Lady Charlotte Hughes lives a double life. By day, she is the plain demure sister of a domineering brother who wants nothing more than to have her married and out of the way. By night, she is Lottie English, an intoxicating, glamorous woman of mystery, a famed opera singer who drives men wild with the wanting of her. But the only man Charlotte wants is Colin Ramsey, Duke of Newark, though the dashing nobleman would certainly never risk his reputation on a woman like her. Imagine her shock when the duke reveals himself as a smitten fan and while attempting to seduce her, also discovers her true identity. Charlotte will submit to the handsome duke's every wish, but only as his wife, a proposal Colin eagerly accepts. But his secret duty to the Crown, to expose Charlotte's nemesis, threatens the fiery passion that consumes them. And when Charlotte herself is suddenly in danger, Colin must choose where his loyalties lie and risk everything for the incredible lady who has thoroughly captured his heart. The Duke's Indiscretion is the third and final installment in the bestselling Duke's Trilogy and Adele Ashworth takes it out with a BANG!!! Beautifully written characters, exquisite scenery and a plot that never stops, Ms. Ashworth delivers to her readers a story that will warm their hearts and touch their senses. Charlotte and Colin are perfect lovers and fairly burn the pages with their passion. I felt that the secondary characters were very important to the plot and give rather than take away from the storyline. Adele Ashworth is always exciting to read and never disappoints. fascinating Victorian romantic suspense

In 1861 Duke Colin Ramsey realizes that his infatuation for Royal Italian Opera House opera singer Lottie English has grown into an obsession. He will do anything except betray the crown to spend one night in heaven with her. Lady Charlotte Hughes lives a quiet demure life under the martinet domination of her brother Lord Brixham. At least that is the image she provides her sibling; for at night she is Lottie English. Her fantasy is a grand tour of the continent although she admits to herself making love with admirer Colin might prove better. She decides if she can persuade Colin to marry her, she can have both and be free of Brixham. Colin learns of her double life from kisses and offers her a real marriage with a grand tour once he completes his investigation. However, he soon has a more urgent need than making love to her, as someone wants her dead so he or she can claim something valuable. This is a fascinating Victorian romantic suspense that focuses on the relationship between the opera singer and the investigating duke. The mystery elements take a back seat to the attraction between Colin and Charlotte as the whodunit enhances their need for one another. Historical romance fans will want to read Adele Ashworth's well written thriller. Harriet Klausner
