I ordered a hard cover...and received a paperback

It wasn't what I ordered

Dynamite author and wonderful storyteller.

I think male and female alike would enjoy this thriller-type book. It's humorous in parts as well. The Peter Ash character and his dog Mingus, make a great pair! I will read the entire series. This is the first of them. I'm very glad there are more!

NOT Jack Reacher

This is an O.K. action/suspense novel. It is nowhere as complex or convoluted as a Jack Reacher book. It's fairly entertaining and worth the read but don't expect it to compete with Reacher. I've only read this one of the series; maybe they get better.

Great author

I love lee child but this is just as good if not better

If you like Jack Reacher novels, you'll love Peter Ash!

This debut novel by Nick Petrie hits all the action hero buttons without trying hard. I picked it up to read on an overseas flight and couldn't put it down. I even reread it once and now wish I had brought it back with me. Petrie engages the reader from the first and leaves them wanting to know what happens next to the Drifter. Strong characters that you will actually care about bring this story to a satisfying conclusion. I am very much looking forward to reading subsequent books in this series
